A great deal of the success of Rag at Loughborough can be attributed to competitiveness - whether on an individual level or representing their halls, students are always trying to be the best.
HallsThe Intramural aspect has seen halls compete to raise the most money for years and years now. On offer are trophies for the highest total from a hall (the current record stands at an enormous £147,364.18 raised by William Morris Hall in 2008/09), the highest total per head (giving smaller halls a level playing field) and for the most improved hall. More than anything a hall winning a Rag award shows they're an up for it, solid group with a lot of chat!
IndividualOn an individual level personal competitiveness really drives people on. Whether trying to beat a mate, trying to be the best collector in your hall, or even trying to take the title of Star Fundraiser as the best collector in all of Loughborough, raising the stakes can really teach you a lot. In addition to this we also run our very own fantastic incentive scheme to encourage collectors to keep raising more money for great causes.
Star Fundraiser IncentivesWho knows? You could even be our next Star Fundraiser!
